I normally rate Ann McCaffrey books as 5 but this story seemed too complex and too many problems cropping up I enjoyed the story and it fit nicely into the series but instead of one or two big problems, there seemed to be endless small problems and never a relative rest to recover Some of the saving events were somewhat far fetched and even some of the problems seemed to come out of right field but the story held up and all issues were eventually resolved The book stands on its own though readin [...]

Anne McCaffrey was older when she wrote these Twins of Petaybee novels, so it s understandable that the writing is not as high quality as her many, many earlier books The intricacies of plot, level of character development, and even simply the character s conversations, are a bit simpler However, I have very high standards, and still this book is well written than 90% of the fiction I find available as e books Of course, Mrs McCaffrey was a very successful print author for decades before this, [...]
